Phonetic Alphabet

To avoid confusion between letters like b and p, or t and v  which can easily be confused we use the Phonetic alphabet aviation, especially in callsigns.

You must know these both for your exam and to be competent in flight. You will be required to know your letter and code and unlikely to be required to know the pronunciation.
