Smoking, Alcohol and Drugs

*Alcohol

  1. Pilot must not have consumed alcohol within 8 hours of flight
  2. Pilot must not be under the influence of any drugs, alcohol, medications or substances that may affect the pilots ability to act efficiently or responsibly.
  3. Passengers must not be intoxicated

Smoking

  1. Smoking is prohibited in all no-smoking areas
  2. *Smoking is prohibited during take-off, landing and within 100 feet of refuelling under RA-Aus or 15m under CASA
  3. Smoking is prohibited in most club and shared hangers and is heavily frowned upon around most aircraft. The combination of peoples aircraft, fuel and an ignition source stresses most non smoking aircraft owners.

Drugs And Other Substances 

  1. *Anything that affects your behaviour, judgment, responsibility, skills should be checked with your doctor or with CASA AvMed.
