There are several types of aerodromes often referred to as airports.

    2. Non controlled aka non towered

In RAA we avoid controlled as at present we are not allowed into CTA. The exception is student pilots learning in CTA.

We use non controlled which are available for public use and ALA which are private and require permission except in emergencies.

This part is not relevant for exam but handy to know. Most aerodromes at present charge landing fees. These fees are often administered by Airservices Australia. RAA and AA do not share information so AA has no clue who owns RAA aircraft. At present RAA aircraft land free at most larger aerodromes. At smaller aerodromes you will usually be asked for cash upon landing, or place your landing fee in a box using an envelope you supply.
